Towards a Resilient Europe. Strategies for the Future

Economic ForumParticipants of the 25th Economic Forum in Krynica, 8-10 September 2015, will be discussing the major current economic, social and political issues.

The programme of the Forum will be filled with debates, thematic blocks, presentations and reports, divided into 12 thematic paths dedicated to key sectors of the economy and social life, such as: Macroeconomy, Business and Management, Energy, Innovations, Health Care, New Economy, Society, State and Reforms.

This year's Forum will be held under the theme "Towards a Resilient Europe. Strategies for the Future," Which will also be the title of the opening session. Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister of France, has tentatively confirmed his participation in this debate. The European cohesion and unity is threatened by centrifugal political forces and economic problems. At the same time, the Old Continent has to face the increasingly fierce global economic competition and geopolitical conflicts, including Russian expansionism.

What will determine Europe’s strength will primarily be the economic growth and security, which is why the Old Continent should focus on increasing competitiveness, supporting innovation and solidarity. Is it possible to combine these three directions? How to overcome political instability both within the community and outside its borders? Will the EUR 300 billion worth Juncker Plan bridge the investment gap, and will it be a sufficient growth impulse for the EU economies? These questions will be answered by the participants of the Forum.

In the view of its participants, the Economic Forum in Krynica is the most important economic conference in Central Europe. For 25 years, it has been a venue for prime ministers, members of government, EU decision-makers, business executives. The Forum debates are prepared in cooperation with more than 100 business partners, including larges Polish and international companies.
